A bit about the British Columbia chapter of the Pharoahs...
We are all about CUSTOMS, CLASSICS, MUSCLE CARS, HOT RODS, STREET RODS, RAT RODS & TRUCKS. We Totally Support KUSTOMS and the people who Build em’ Drive em’ Or Buy em’.
We are all about going cruising, attending car shows together and having fun at club gatherings. We want this group to have a good time! We don’t have monthly meetings, just an Annual General Meeting, although Directors may meet on an as-needed basis. The Pharoahs BC Chapter, like all the other Pharoahs Chapters is run by appointed Officers. Lifetime Memberships are available for the Pharoahs BC or associated regional chapters. In some regions, membership requirements may vary. For example, the Southern Vancouver Island Chapter requires that its members own a 35-years-old or older American made ride or an early VW Beetle. Membership in the BC Chapter, however, only requires that you have an interest in classic cars or trucks. You can apply for a Lifetime Membership using the registration page on this web site. Please indicate which region you would like to have your membership in, and your application will be sent to the local chapter for review. Applications typically only take a day or two to process. Membership is required to access some of the features on this site, such as the items listed for sale on our Shop pages.
Our events are family friendly. We do not indulge politics, bullying, or unkind or discriminatory behavior. There are no drugs or alcohol allowed at our public events. We ask that all members be respectful of other members and their vehicles. Contact BC Chapter General Dave Helgeson if you have any questions about our club or our activities.
our history
Who we Are
The American Graffiti Connection & History:
“Where were you in ’62” is the iconic line in the move poster for George Lucas’ coming-of-age film set in Modesto, California. It was meant to portray the cruising scene that Lucas grew up with during his teenage years in Southern California.
In real life, the young cruisers of Modesto formed a fraternity called the Faros in 1957. They were too young to be in the adult Pharoahs car club which at that time was mostly made up of WWII and Korean War veterans. The Faros were the group that Lucas wrote about in his movie. They were his classmates! Due to copyright issues, the movie ended up using the traditional spelling of “Pharoahs”.
